PCPPI recognizes exceptional employees at Gold Crown Awards

(PCPPI)—the exclusive manufacturer of PepsiCo beverages in the country—recently honored three outstanding employees with this year’s Gold Crown Awards. This recognition is awarded to employees for demonstrating professional dedication in line with PCPPI’s ICARE Values, which stands for Integrity and Innovation, Care and Respect, Empowerment and Excellence. The three awardees for this year are (in photo, from left to right) Faith Marie M. Zacal of from PCPPI’s Cagayan De Oro plant, Lucky J. Mallari from the Central Luzon Operations (CLO) and Jona Marie S. Rollan from the Davao manufacturing facility. Of the awardees, PCPPI president and chief executive officer Frederick D. 2009 BAR PASSERS

COMPLETE LIST OF 2008 BAR PASSERS 
A total of 1,310 passed the 2008 bar examinations, the Supreme Court announced Friday evening

Update (8:30 pm April 3, 2009): CLICK HERE FOR the Complete Results Judy Lardizabal, a law student from the San Sebastian College, emerged on top of the 1,310 examinees who passed the 2008 bar examinations.

Results of the bar exams taken in September 2008 is expected to be released later Friday, a spokesman for the Supreme Court said.

Update (5:00 pm April 3, 2009): the original 4 p.m. announcement of the results was moved to 6 p.m. due to a delay in “decoding” or a system where the answer sheets are matched with the names of the examinees.

Obra Ni Juan. Theater Review.

Spoliarium, an opera with libretto by Soprano Fides Cuyugan-Asensio and with music by Ryan Cayabyab was the first production I saw pertaining to the life of Juan Luna. Originally staged at the CCP in 2003 starring Robert Seña at the titular role, the opera was staged in Tribeca Performing Arts Center in New York thirteen years later. Philippine Stagers Foundation (PSF) current production of "Obra Ni Juan " was my follow-up. This original Filipino musical entertainment was written by Atty. Princess Laura, Prince Florante, Prince Aladin and Princess Flerida.   Amidst innovations and new techniques in presenting play, the Gantimpala Theater Foundation, Inc stand in delivering the Filipino classic story “Florante At Laura” in a traditional way as they open 38 th Season.
