PCPPI recognizes exceptional employees at Gold Crown Awards

Excellence thrives where it is practiced consistently. Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI)—the exclusive manufacturer of PepsiCo beverages in the country—recently honored three outstanding employees with this year’s Gold Crown Awards. This recognition is awarded to employees for demonstrating professional dedication in line with PCPPI’s ICARE Values, which stands for Integrity and Innovation, Care and Respect, Empowerment and Excellence. The three awardees for this year are (in photo, from left to right) Faith Marie M. Zacal of from PCPPI’s Cagayan De Oro plant, Lucky J. Mallari from the Central Luzon Operations (CLO) and Jona Marie S. Rollan from the Davao manufacturing facility. Of the awardees, PCPPI president and chief executive officer Frederick D. BOB AVES AND GROUP LAUNCH SECOND ALBUM.

IN-Demand  Music Director and arranger Bob Aves launch his second album entitled “Out of Tradition” by  Bob Aves Jazz Group in a soul shaking concert in PETA Theater last December 11. Tag as Philippine World Jazz, Bob and his group is known internationally for combining local indigenous musical instrument and infusing it to popular Jazz sound.






Out of Tradition album is under TAO Music, an all Filipino record label specializes in traditions and contemporary culture-based titles of Philippine Music in which Aves is one of its founder, among its artist is his wife, contemporary singer Grace Nono.
 
The Bob Aves Jazz Group is composed by indigenous percussionists Tusa Montes and Jazz Dufourt. Montes currently teach Philippine, Asian and Afro Latin Music at the UP College of Music and UST Conservatory, while 17 year old Dufourt is a Asian Music Major student in UP College of Music.  Other member is Dy Liacco for Saxophone, Keyboardist Nikko Rivera, Bassist Colby De La Calzada and drummer HaraldHuyssen.  Liacco is part of Parliament Syndicate band while De La Calzada is a favorite sessionist of Side A band and the APO Hiking Society.  Rivera is an endorser for Korg Philippines, a brand of keyboard, while Huyssen is a faculty at UST Jazz Studies Department and a Youtube sensation for his video drumming tutorials. The said group is notable in their performance abroad for different Jazz Festivals.

Out of Tradition concert is presented by PETA Theater Center and partly by OPM Contemporary singer Noel Cabangon.  The sophomore album of Aves group is available at TAO Music office in Quezon City, you can contact them at Telephone number 411-7535.
