PCPPI recognizes exceptional employees at Gold Crown Awards

Excellence thrives where it is practiced consistently. Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI)—the exclusive manufacturer of PepsiCo beverages in the country—recently honored three outstanding employees with this year’s Gold Crown Awards. This recognition is awarded to employees for demonstrating professional dedication in line with PCPPI’s ICARE Values, which stands for Integrity and Innovation, Care and Respect, Empowerment and Excellence. The three awardees for this year are (in photo, from left to right) Faith Marie M. Zacal of from PCPPI’s Cagayan De Oro plant, Lucky J. Mallari from the Central Luzon Operations (CLO) and Jona Marie S. Rollan from the Davao manufacturing facility. Of the awardees, PCPPI president and chief executive officer Frederick D. Down Memory Lane: Drum and Lyre Corps We Are!

When I was still young and in primary school, I was a member of a drum and lyre group of our school. We usually were present in every feasts, city activities, schools inter-city sports activities. We joined competition, that allowed me to travel from one city to another municipality at the very young age. I loved it every time we're performing then, I love playing xylophone while parading over the city with those high boots and short polka-dotted skirts representing our school.

While my younger brother is holding a cymbals the one like that of hi hat cymbals at Musicians Friend. But later on he's into snare drum.

We we're having fun all those times. The prime moment was when we won the grand champion of the Drum and Lyre Corps competition all over Palawan. It was such a great honor to be a member of the group. The first and last time of that kind of competition.
