Moviedate: Maleficent

It's the time of the month again wherein I get to treat my little lady to watch a movie. She picked watching Maleficent.

It was one nice fairy tale that depicts true love. How betrayal can change a person. I am so glad that I brought her to the movie house to watch this one. She learned something here.

A total twist before it ended. Truly, there are some reasons why people turned to be mean or bad. There's something from their past that made them that way.

My Take on Swish Moutwash Mangosteen Mint

Since I started using mouthwash to my dental regimen, I can no longer last a day without using it. I particularly love this flavor: Mangosteen Mint!

Aside from helping you have a long lasting fresh breath all day through, it is also non-alcoholic that helps kill bad breath causing bacteria and prevents plaque build-up, gum disease and tooth decay.

Powered by SureFresh Technology, Swish doesn't just cover up bad breath because it kills bad bacteria, prevents plaque and gingivitis for long-lasting fresh breath.

Gargle 20 mL of Swish Mouthwash twice a day for 30 seconds for best result

Where ever I go, I always have this thing with me (inside my hygiene pouch). An always on the go thing for me. Good thing is that UNILAB produces it in small bottle packaging (50mL).

For more information about Swish products, you may visit and like their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/SwishPhilippines

Review: Beyond All Weapons (CD) by L. Ron Hubbard

I was given the opportunity to have and review this audio CD. A sci-fi story, Beyond All Weapons, a thrilling space adventure about the colonists of Mars wanting to get away from and destroy the tyrannical government that has taken over Earth and is threatening to take over Mars.

A story that tells the tale of Firstin Guide, a tough rebel who leads a group of colonists off earth to escape the tyrannical government. What follows is a suspenseful and often grim tale of survival amidst the hope of one day returning to earth to rescue their families and destroy the Polar regime.

My daughter and I enjoyed listening to this audio book, the voice and the sound effects are so good that is sounded so real.

I am not really a sci-fi fanatic, but with this kind of story book turned into audio book, who could resist listening to. After all, it's a brand new experience for me. My daughter, who also loves reading books now asked me if she can have some more audiobooks because of this experience she had.

Author's Biography:
L. Ron Hubbard
Author, humanitarian and Founder of Dianetics and Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard is one of the most acclaimed figures of the modern age.

In a writing career spanning more than half a century, he was both a leading light of American fiction and the author of more than 35 million words of nonfiction--the single most embracive statement on the human mind and spirit, providing the only road to total spiritual freedom.

To date, more than 250 million copies of his works are in circulation worldwide, in 71 languages. All told, those works comprise over 3,000 recorded lectures and some 5,000 writings, including nineteen New York Times bestsellers.

Accordingly, and in testament to the magnitude of his literary legacy, there are his four Guinness World Records: most published author, most translated author, the author with the most audiobook titles and the single most translated non-religious work.

Yet the essence of L. Ron Hubbard's legacy is perhaps best expressed in his simple declaration:

"I like to help others and count it as my greatest pleasure in life to see a person free himself of the shadows which darken his days.

"These shadows look so thick to him and weigh him down so that when he finds they are shadows and that he can see through them, walk through them and be again in the sun, he is enormously delighted. And I am afraid I am just as delighted as he is."

The 6th Philippine Stagers Foundation Theater Festival 2014.

A Theater Summer Festival with the Stagers.
By Evo Joel Contrivida

The Cast of "Kutitap".
PHILIPPINE STAGERS FOUNDATION, (PSF), a  theater group base in Sampaloc, Manila successfully run the 6th year PSF Theater Festival held  exclusively at the home of Stagers in Balic-Balic where a mini theater is set up to cater for almost 50 invited guest and friends of Stagers, plus the chosen three members of the Jury.  The main purpose of the festival is to showcase new talents from this year’s participants of the workshop, and to rediscover different theater talents of its Stagers members.  It started last April 13 up to May 10.

Atty. Vince Tanada.

According to Vince Tanada, a lawyer in profession and the founding member of PSF, they have 100 participants mostly students from different Universities and campuses in the Country , and some professionals of different fields, they were selected out of 700 who audition for this year’s Summer Theater Workshop that caters to Acting, Scriptwriting, Stage Management and Directing play.  Vince point out that this is for free, no fees collected to the participants and they are doing this ever since as a way of thanking those who support PSF throughout.

PSF is doing school base and commercial play of different genre and themes not only in Manila but throughout the Country; they are totaling 450 stage plays for a year mostly.  Among their past productions are Bonifacio: Isang Sarswela, Cory ng EDSA, and many more.

This 2014, PSF is premiering the Pilipinas: 1941, a play of love about the Bataan Death March, written and to be directed of course by Tanada.
"Walang Pinag-Iba"

Cast of "Sa Carwash".

"Babae Po Ako" Cast.
At the Festival, around eight short plays compete for this year’s honor roll, delivered and executed on stage by Stagers members. Watching the three weeks show was truly a blast, Stagers themselves really stunned us in terms of acting and directing, their ability to cry, shout and deliver punchlines on stage is far out from other theater group I’ve known so far, from creative lighting to props and stage design is well applauded by majority of us in the audience.  Tanada’s ability in creating and transforming his Stagers into a well craft artist is a success; they could even surpass those Artists in the mainstream Television and Cinema.
Cast of "Dilaw o Pula".
Knowing Tanada deeper throughout the Festival is getting to know his passion for the arts as well, even though he is a practicing lawyer he never give up his love for theater, PSF strong foundation for the past 13 years is truly a success and an envy to others especially his marketing arm. Tanada who mostly write and direct plays for PSF is a Palanca awardee and a Aliw Awardee for acting.
