Miss Earth 2014 Candidates eat lunch at Yoshinoya.

BEFORE the grand coronation, Candidates for this year’s Woman of the Earth squeeze in their time to visit Yoshinoya, Japan’s Famous restaurant that operating in the Philippines for twelve years already. Miss Earth 2014 Candidates had a sumptuous lunch at Yoshinoya branch in SM North Edsa last Nov 28, 2014.  Of course they were serve signature dishes of Yoshinoya such as Beef Bowl, Beef Misono, Chicken and Pork Katsudon, and the newly and getting popular menu, the Yoshi Chicken.

In an interview with Timmy Yang, President CEO of Yoshinoya Century Pacific, Inc inform us that they have 7 branches in Metro Manila alone of Yoshinoya, and soon they are opening their branch in Cebu. He admit that even though it’s a franchise they limit it only in their company.

Yoshinoya is established in 1889 in Tokyo, Japan and its famous for delicious recipe of beef and rice known as Gyudon (Beef Bowl) and it’s a hit in Japan since then.

Yang told us that they have a lot of Ramen variations coming in for 2015, he admit that Ramen is one of their bestselling menu along with Bento that they all offer, the newly introduce Yoshi Chicken is only available in the Philippines but it was collaborated with Chef’s of Yoshinoya in Tokyo.

Yoshinoya has already plan for the coming holidays and they offer a lot of food for Christmas Treats, they accept delivery all you have to do is call them at 288-2888.  Their branches are located in SM Megamall, SM North Edsa, SM Manila, SM Mall of Asia, Robinsons Galleria, Glorietta and Fairview Terraces.

A glimpse of Solaire Sky Tower.


The Ultimate Resort and Casino of Manila finally open its most awaited Sky Tower. The new Solaire has 17 floor building features a lot of amenities and state of the art gaming center plus a high end plaza that will answer the needs of being a mall in a hotel ambiance.

We’re given a chance to be one of its guest before it open to the public last Nov 21, 2014. Truly this breathtaking hotel and casino know’s what is entertainment all about. During our tour we are delighted to know that it consist of 312 rooms in which 14 of this are called Sky Studio  with the area of 65 square meter, that makes Solaire rooms a total of 800.  They also put up additional 8 gaming salons and 65 game tables for gamers.

The Sky Tower aside from its Hotel room will be the next destination for shoppers because its 70 high end brand of Jewelries to clothing’s are set to open in the coming days, this makes Solaire not only a Hotel but a mall as well and the next luxury shoppers paradise.

In terms of fine dining, this Sky Tower features two magnificent restos that can satisfy your hungry stomachs, first is the Waterside Restobar that offer ala-carte type of services for food, the open kitchen is an attraction to see and my God, they serve the best Paella in town. Other resto is called House of Zhou, an exclusive for gamers resto that opens 24 hours, it is only serving Cantonese food pattern from a famous resto in Hongkong. 

For drinkers, a whisky bar called Mackalian is also another thing to look forward to in seeing those century drinks.

The corporate events, meetings and seminars is very much welcome as well in Sky Tower wherein it has 8 meeting rooms good for 50 pax, and 2 board rooms. They are all have built-in coffee facility and motorize LCD projector.

But the biggest attraction of Sky Tower is the 1,760 seating capacity Theater. It will be the next thing in terms of locally produce shows such as concerts and broadway play.

Palawena Nurse represent Philippines in Miss Tourism World 2014.

Cindy Madduma, the 26 year old Nurse from Palawan State University is chosen to represent the Philippines in the coming Miss Tourism World pageant to be held in Barquisito, Venezuela wherein coronation night is slated on Dec 10, 2014.

Madduma was selected because she is one of the four winners with equal title as Ambassadress of Tourism in the first Miss Global Philippines, held last Oct 11 at The New Resort World.

Maduma is so excited for the said pageant that she never expect to happen, she believe that God is on her for this since she only have a couple weeks to prepare for it. She is leaving Manila by Nov 29 going to Venezuela. Philippines bet last year Aiyana Camille Mikiewicz is a runner up as Miss Tourism Asia.

Miss Tourism World started in year 2000 with the aim to endorse beauty of the contestant and the country they represent, the first Filipina who won this title is Michelle Reyes way back year 2002.

Madduma being a veteran pageant wannabe in Palawan is the former Mutya ng Bancao-Bancao in 2005, a first runner up of Mutya ng Palawan in 2008, second place for Miss Puerto Princesa in 2009,  and a finalist of Mutya ng Pilipinas in 2010. She was train under the wing of Rogel Flores of Kagandahang Flores. In profession she became an attending nurse for the former Mayor Edward Hagedorn.

The 28th PMPC Star Awards for TV (2014)

The Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort and Casino was filled by glitz and glamour as the stars from all networks graced the 28th PMPC Star Awards For Television. Kapamilya Stars Piolo Pascual, Enchong Dee, Kim Chiu and Iza Calzado hosted the awarding ceremony and directed by veteran Al Quinn. ABS-CBN received the most number of nominations and ended the night with the most number of wins followed by GMA, GMA News TV and TV5.

The 28th PMPC Star Awards will be broadcast on November 30, at 10:45pm “Sunday’s Best " on ABS-CBN.
