The COVID-19 pandemic has presented immense challenges to industries around the world. With mobility restrictions in place, business owners had to rethink their operations and adjust to navigate the uncertainties in the new normal. Although some companies were able to adapt and seamlessly shift to the new norm, the process was not easy with many struggling with financial losses and temporary business closures. A survey from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) released September last year reported that the Philippine economy experienced the worst impacts of the pandemic. The Philippines logged the highest number of business closures and layoffs among its peers in Southeast Asia. The night we enjoy Fete De La Musique 2015 at Makati.

It was a long day for us last June 20, 2015, but the music keeps us alive until wee hours, because we enjoy every single performance for the annual Fete De La Musique, the world known convergence of music artist in different genre, in line with the celebration of French Month in Makati City.

At around 4pm we arrive at A-Space in Makati City, it’s a jampacked crowd but and still we find a space for us, most of the artist performing are from the indie circuit, but musicality they are so great and you can really feel their passion even for 3 to 5 songs that we never heard, only until that night.

Among the performances that blown us away are from Reese Lansangan whom we think can be called the Taylor Swift of Indie Music, her poetry in lyrics is amazing.  Manskee is a crowd pleaser, this man really have the heart in his music, and its catchy I tell you. And of course from Basti Artadi of rock band called Wolfgang, his machismo gesture with surprise humor is really a plus point for all concert goer.

We then move to Greenbelt 3 Park where the main stage is, we were able to see performances from Flippin Soul Stompers and Bras Pas Pas Pas Pas, they really making the crown go wild and dancing on their feet, they really entertain the people who patiently watch them from afar due to scattered rainshowers.

The event is a simultaneous in different venues that day and night, there is Rock performances at B-Side (Indoor)Bar, Reggae and Ska at B-Side (Outdoor), Feel Good music at 71 Gramercy, and a lot a more.

My blogger friend Charity and Doodze is really looking forward to next Fete De La Musique in 2016.
