A taste of Cambodia

My recent travel to the Kingdom of Wonders is also filled of mouthwatering adventures, foods, delicacy, spices, flavors and exotic taste galore. Let me take you to some of their to die food, cook in Cambodian way.
CHARMAN CHICKEN. What I can remember is the taste of ginger all over it, but it comes with a soothing flavors that is good for the throat. it is usually serve in many eateries or small resto in Siem Reap.
LOKLAN. This pork delicacy is the most common one in all Cambodian resto, the tender of the meat with fresh tomato taste is a winner for a hungry stomach.
DEEP FRIED QUAILS. This is one of the favorite of many in Sovanna, a fast rising Khmer Restuarant in Phnom Penh. Its delicious but not that crispy,  and flavorful too.
From Up Left is CHAR BON LIER, Its chicken sauted in many spices like ginger and mix vegetables, I can taste some seasoning on it. next is PROMA, a scrambled egg with pork meat and mix veggies stuffed inside. Below from left is CHAR MONN, a sort of chopsuey alike food mix with meat and seafoods. SOUR CHICKEN SOUP is loaded with many herbs and spices cooked with Chicken meat, the soup is also soothing and very minty.
An organic WORM, Small kind of Cockroach type bug and SCORPIONS, all in very spicy taste.
EXOTIC FOODS.
SEASONED TARANTULA and BIG COCKROACH in spicy flavors, usually available in the streets of Seim Reap. This are their local exotic foods that was harvested in the farms.
Desserts and Snacks.
PORPEAY. a Khmer snack that you can buy on the street of Siem Reap during afternoon, it is glazy outside that is so sweet and have mash sweetened wild potato fillings.
Another kind of PORPEAY but this one has no sweet potato fillings.
RICE CAKE IN A BAMBOO. I so love this dessert, its a rice cake cook insde the bamboo shell, it contains sweet red beans inside as well, it is usually sell along the streets by some vendors. CAMBODIAN SWEET. the free dessert sweet by Sovanna Resto, its a jelly wrap inside banana leaf and with sweet Mongo(Green Beans) stuff inside.
There you are, some new foods that you can look for when you visit Cambodia next time. I may not be so sure with the spellings of some food in local tongue, but that's how it was called and I did ask some Cambodian to spell it to me.
