Eating together at Sobremesa.

Eating is best when you share stories at the table. That’s what Sobremesa, a South American restaurant in Sapphire Bloc aims to promote at this age when technology changed the food culture.
Taken from its Spanish meaning, Sobremesa refers to the time spent together with people you share a meal with. Guests of Sobremesa are requested to surrender their phones before eating in exchange of desert. The phones will be locked on a cage and the key will be surrendered to you. Established in 2015 by Chef Banjo Tuason, Sobremesa is a business venture by The Menu Group that features exciting cuisines that cater to diverse markets. Miles Experience launched “Anggulo” Music Video.

After being signed by major label MCA Music, Miles Experience band just launched their newest music video “Anggulo” last March 4, 2017 at the very special event held in 12 Monkeys Music Hall in Makati City.   The said song was used as the theme of GMA series “Wolfblood”.
The video was directed by Jiggy Gregorio, and it talks about acceptance and learning to love whatever the situation. “The song is very sad, thus the rain for the band shots which connotes sadness and despair” Gregorio said.
Miles Experience is composed of Miles Bondoc on vocals and guitar, Justin Teano on guitar, Ian Diaz on bass, Guido Hizon on keyboard and Tim Dadivas on drums. This former indie group from University of Sto. Tomas started as a blues band in 2011, and they revamped to make a unique music not heard in the local music scene.

Art imitates life, Life imitates Art. That’s the point in Twin Bill Theater newest production of “My Name is Asher Lev”, written by Aaron Posner as adapted from the novel by Chaim Potok. This is under the direction of Steven Conde and stars Nelsito Gomez in the titular role, with Robie Zialcita and Naths Everett.
Asher Lev is a life story set in 1940’s Brooklyn of an upcoming visual artist or painter who have the roots of Hasidic Jew. He struggle about his ideals in expressing his talent, skills that was rejected by his community as well as his own family, but he fight for his Artistic freedom and the price he must pay to achieve it.
Gomez as charming as he is, act crafted as Asher, you will appreciate him here as he almost didn’t go off on stage during the 90 minutes performances, those kilometric lines and changing of emotions from one scene to another, actually you will feel tired somehow but the energy Gomez is showing, the excitement on his face is a catch, at first I thought …
