Arielle Agasang Celebrates Homage to Fashion Legendary

 Presented by Philippine Academy of Aesthetic and Age Management Medicine, Inc. (PAAAMI), Skinnovate, Allencabs Writing Lights, Fernando’s Bakery, VJ Original Kojic Soap and Holistic Integrative Care Center, A-list Filipino fashion designer Arielle Agasang celebrated his 50th birthday with a two hour fashion show that showcased and emphasized his trademark in the field of fashion, last June 14, 2018 at the Resorts World Manila Newport Plaza.
The muses and mannequins of both gender, graced and paraded wearing both new and classic collections and creations from the House of Agasang Haute Couture tailored into three segments ( Ang Alamat Ng Masikap, Ang Alamat Ng Sining at Alamat Ni Malakas At Maganda), "Ang Alamat Ng Limampu," a tribute to Filipino greatness, who made contributions to society whether publicly or silently, even ordinary Juan dela Cruzes who became his partners in promoting style and grace through his clothes over the years and the people who have a rightful claim to be called legends in their own right.

In attendance at the strictly by invitation show are real life couple Tonton Gutierrez and Glydel Mercado, World Champion singer Jed Madela who slayed the night with his powerful rendition of "This Is The Moment" from the musical Jekyll & Hyde, actor Rafael Rossel, thespian Ima Castro, Gail Blanco-Viduya, Ana Ramsey, Shanaia Gomez, 5th GEN, Mutya Ng Pilipinas President Hemilyn Escudero-Tamayo, former Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno, Mrs. Philippines-Globe 2016 Dra. Fritzie Lexdy Noche, Jam Ventosa, Bene Tan, Nico Raymundo, Gerome Bongco among others.

Cabugao Daco Island: One of Iloilo’s Gem.

Exploring the province of Iloilo is not complete without a visit at Isla Gegantes, these chain of beautiful islands in the town of Carles is all breathtaking, beautiful and has a lot of stories to tell. Like the island of Cabugao Dako, unknown to many this bigger version of Cabugao Gamay has a lot to offer.
Taken from a Ilonggo word for “Suha” or Pomelo fruit, Cabugao daco or Big Pomelo is such a pristine island with beautiful view of on top. What best to do here is explore the island in a minutes or hour, be a mountain hiker, do rappels and be an adventurer to its wonderful cave, or be brave in cliff diving.

According to Melinda Bung-ao, the resident owner of the island, their caves has a lot of stories to tell way back Spanish era, it was used to be a hiding place for some and of course, a relaxing place to forget the troubles of the maddening City.

The Cave needs to be research more, its stalactites and stalagmites formations can be something else’s, Mam.Melinda is open to that.  In less than 5 minutes you can explore the cave from down up to the top, but let me warn you that you really need to hold on tightly especially going on top, the other side of it offers a good view of sunset.

Cabugao Dako has a small and soon to rise resort, it’s called Phamels Beach Resort that offer overnight stay and food that is arrange, they also offer boat transfer from Bangkal in Carles, it’s about 45 minutes boat ride.
But take note that the accommodation they offer is just a tent, no permanent structure as of this time in Cabugao Dako. Phamels beach offer a package prize of P1,199 inclusion of all for overnight stay. Carles can be reach via bus or van from Iloilo City that is almost 3 hours ride.
Day tour is also welcome, an entrance fee of P30 is a must, and if you wish to stay for a night it’s a P250 per head and you can share the tent also. Please book your tour a week ahead at least to prepare everything.

Arielle Agasang to mark 50th Birthday with a show.

To celebrate his 50th birthday, Filipino designer Arielle Agasang is paying his homage to Filipino creations and masterpieces through a fashion show. Happening on June 14, the strictly by invitation one night show dubbed as " Ang Alamat Nang Limampu " will be a gathering of more than 50 beauty kings and queens, actors and actresses and executives, politicians doctors and lawyers at Resorts World Manila Newport Plaza for just one night.

The show is expected to showcase Filipino greatness for the last 50 years. A fashion legend himself, Agasang has been a recognized name in the fashion industry since 1995. Born to a middle class family in Lavezares Northern Samar, Agasang finished his BS Clothing Technology degree from the University of the Philippines and with beadwork training from India.

Since, he has slowly established his name as a designer and has mounted fashion shows in Asia, Middle East, United States and United Kingdom. He has dressed numerous local and international celebrities, and his creations was worn at red carpet at the Oscars. “I have truly been blessed all these years. So I’d like to thank and pay tribute to the world that welcomed and loved me through this fashion show,” he said.

Cognizant Trainer bags first ever Ms. BPO Queen Title.

Stephie Venize Cabahug won the first ever Ms. BPO Queen 2018 Title .The statuesque stunner beat 24 other hopefuls for the said title with the pageant being held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last May 29, 2018.Thirteen BPO companies participated in the said pageant. Nicole Silvestre of Concentrix emerged as first runner up and Khole Candy of Eperformax got the 2nd runner up placement respectively.
BPO Queen is a pageant made for trans genders working in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Industry in the Philippines. The pageant aims to promote Gender Equality and Inclusion and also targets to promote awareness about the LGBTQ Community. Twenty five contestants vied for the title. The number was trimmed down to top 20 after the Swimsuit Competition.
The 20 candidates went on to battle it out on the Evening gown portion as they were serenaded by Edgar Allan Guzman and Joross Gamboa. From there the 20 candidates were trimmed down to the top 10 and a Q and A portion takes place. The top 10 were then trimmed down to 5.From 5 there was another Q and A round that determined the top 3 who went on to battle it out for the final Q and A portion.
The final question was, ”When does your strength become your weakness to which Stephie’s winning answer was, “Too much of something is bad enough as the Spice Girls song goes. Being confident is strength but when you overdo it, it comes across as being arrogance; it then becomes a weakness thereafter. Her answer drew cheers from the crowd and secures her win on the said pageant. Other performers in the said pageant included Jake Zyrus, International DJ David Callum David and Stephy Francisco. Mark Bautista hosted the pageant.
