Promising hip-hop quartet VVS Collective pays tribute to the women of the countryside whose distinct looks, effortless grace, and captivating intelligence redefine conventional standards of beauty. On their lilting anthem “ Probinsyana ,” the rap crew delivers a romantic serenade for every ‘country’ lass who took their breath away in recent years. “ Probinsyana is a feel-good track which many Filipinos can relate to,” the group describes the appeal of their latest single. “It’s about searching and pursuing that dream girl who lives in the suburbs or the province. It expounds on the qualities of a province girl who’s simple yet has everything you’re looking for in a girl. With the thousands of islands that the Philippines has, the track will surely transcend to all Probinsyanas all over the country.” What makes it extra special is their attempt to take a stand against urbanite snobbery and Manila-centrism in a song that celebrates women of all kinds, regardless of their geogra

Yza's WinxClub Cake by La Patisserie Palawan

Andrea Gerardo is the owner/proprietor of La Patisserie Palawan. She was a former school mate from high school and was also a team mate on our softball team from LHS.

In 2011 I learned that she's into baking business. I ordered my first cake when my father had his Retirement Party that year. From then on, I am a regular customer to La Patisserie Palawan.

Last month I asked her to do the cake for my little girl as she's turning 7. One of the important milestone in my daughter's life.

Mikyla wanted WinxClub to be the theme of her party. So, I searched for cake designed in WinxClub. Fortunately, Pinterest showed quite a few.

I showed Andrea the design, and she 'tweaked' it a little and created a better design.

My daughter wowed upon seeing her birthday cake. A two layered delicious cake with chocolate cupcakes.

A real money for value cake from La Patisserie Palawan! You'll be surprise that this pretty pretty cake was only Php 2,000.00! (Of course, I did some little haggling too).

Andrea is such a nice proprietor. Very creative and easy to approach too..
