  The restaurant industry was among the sectors that suffered the worst from the crises brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.   With the limitations on dine-in services and branches operating at reduced capacity, it easily became one of the hardest   hit sectors, incurring millions of deficits, massive layoffs, and even permanent business closures.   “The previous year, 2020, has been the most challenging year for all of us. Being in a restaurant business where casual dine-in has been the norm, placing the entire country under ECQ was a big blow,” said Pauline Bondad, Vice President of Silver Peak Group of Companies (SPGC).
