PLDT lauds ‘unbreakable spirit’ of PH enterprises amid challenging times

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented immense challenges to industries around the world. With mobility restrictions in place, business owners had to rethink their operations and adjust to navigate the uncertainties in the new normal. Although some companies were able to adapt and seamlessly shift to the new norm, the process was not easy with many struggling with financial losses and temporary business closures. A survey from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) released September last year reported that the Philippine economy experienced the worst impacts of the pandemic. The Philippines logged the highest number of business closures and layoffs among its peers in Southeast Asia. Two Palawena Beauties try to vie crowns this October in Manila.

TWO Of the promising beauty titlist in Palawan are now trying their very best to get prestigous crown in Manila this coming October , in representing the frontier province and the City of Puerto Princesa.

First is Cindy Maduma, the 26 year old Nurse is a veteran in all local pageant in the province ranging from Mutya ng Palawan to memorable Bikini contest in different Municipality, but this time she will prove that she have what it takes to be the first ever Ms. Global Philippines. A new pageant that aims to embrace cultures with tourism. Coronation night is slated on Oct 11, 2014 at the New Port Performing Theater of Resorts World in Pasay City. it will be telecast on GMA-7 on Oct 19.

The second charmer is Ranielah Marie Oval, a Puerto Princesans whos enigmatic confidence and beauty is already a name in some national pageants in the past. She was Ms. Cagayancillo last June 2014 during Mutya ng Palawan and bagged fourth place.  Oval luckily made it as one of the candidates for this year's Miss World Philippines and hopefully follow the Miss World Meagan Young, the reigning Ms.WP.

Prior to to that, Oval is an official candidates of Miss Casino Filipino in 2011, she together with another Palawan's pride Janicel Lubina are in the same batch of  Slimmers World Ms. Bikini Philippines in 2013, in which Lubina take home the title. Lubina after Ms.Bikini join  MWP and became the first runner up of Meagan.

Will Oval surpass what Lubina achieve last year?, let's cross our fingers and watch her during the coronation of the MW2014 on Oct 12, 2014 at SM Mall of Asia.
