PCPPI recognizes exceptional employees at Gold Crown Awards

Excellence thrives where it is practiced consistently. Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI)—the exclusive manufacturer of PepsiCo beverages in the country—recently honored three outstanding employees with this year’s Gold Crown Awards. This recognition is awarded to employees for demonstrating professional dedication in line with PCPPI’s ICARE Values, which stands for Integrity and Innovation, Care and Respect, Empowerment and Excellence. The three awardees for this year are (in photo, from left to right) Faith Marie M. Zacal of from PCPPI’s Cagayan De Oro plant, Lucky J. Tong Yang Plus now in Palawan.

From the group that manage Viking Luxury Buffet, Four Seasons Buffet and Tong Yang, Tong Yang Plus is now here in Palawan as they open their 15th branch that offers the best food buffet in Asian cuisines, they open last January 12 at SM Puerto Princesa.
Tong Yang from Chinese word that means winter sun started its operations since 1995, with Pacific Apex, Inc management they upgraded Tong Yang with Plus that offers more food selection as per Viking’s standard, but the main attraction is having a individual hot pot and grill compare to the traditional sharing system with old Tong Yang.
Tong Yang Plus in Puerto Princesa has 200 seats including the by the bay terrace set up that offers magnificent view of Puerto Bay, it is the most beautiful branch so far not to mention the well-lit interiors that is so very modern asia, it did create a welcoming vibe to its patron.
“Filipinos in general loves to eat, love to be with one another, we want to capture also special occasions also by dining in Tong Yang Plus, hindi lang sya basta masarap yung food but we wanted altogether to give this kind of experience here in Palawan.” Jemma Zafra, Marketing Manager from API.
Same with other branches, Tong Yang Plus in SM Puerto Princesa patronize local products, since Palawan is best with seafoods rest assured that is fresh catch and harvested in Palawan sea and soil, plus the local employment they give to the City.

Obra Ni Juan. Theater Review.

Spoliarium, an opera with libretto by Soprano Fides Cuyugan-Asensio and with music by Ryan Cayabyab was the first production I saw pertaining to the life of Juan Luna. Originally staged at the CCP in 2003 starring Robert Seña at the titular role, the opera was staged in Tribeca Performing Arts Center in New York thirteen years later. Philippine Stagers Foundation (PSF) current production of "Obra Ni Juan " was my follow-up. This original Filipino musical entertainment was written by Atty. Princess Laura, Prince Florante, Prince Aladin and Princess Flerida.   Amidst innovations and new techniques in presenting play, the Gantimpala Theater Foundation, Inc stand in delivering the Filipino classic story “Florante At Laura” in a traditional way as they open 38 th Season. They use the Komedya complete with majestic marches and grand batalia for the entire run of Florante and Laura. Theater thespian Roeder Camanag told us that they have preliminary talks and briefing with schools on how the classic way of theater production on stage.
