PCPPI recognizes exceptional employees at Gold Crown Awards

(PCPPI)—the exclusive manufacturer of PepsiCo beverages in the country—recently honored three outstanding employees with this year’s Gold Crown Awards. This recognition is awarded to employees for demonstrating professional dedication in line with PCPPI’s ICARE Values, which stands for Integrity and Innovation, Care and Respect, Empowerment and Excellence. The three awardees for this year are (in photo, from left to right) Faith Marie M. Zacal of from PCPPI’s Cagayan De Oro plant, Lucky J. Happy Andrada release Spring/Summer 2020 Collection

Filipino world-class designer Happy Andrada just declare summer as happy, that’s why she officially launched her latest Spring/Summer 2020 bridal dressing robe collection last May 5, 2019, at her own Fashion Art boutique in Quezon City.
The collection is inspired by travel, each has its own name depends on the destination, these are creations delicately made with French Lace to Silky Satin with full length robes to timeless cocktail style or even bold jumpsuit.


"I want to be inspired by travels, so I name all the pieces base on locations, like destinations, I make it fun and really easy to wear, like comfy and sheer, and lightweight." Andrada said.



The colors are all in line with season, ice cream pastel, subtle brights, delicate jewel toned while the robes are sprinkled with Swarovski crystal and a lot of embellished details to stand out from the rest, it could be for debut or most likely for wedding, these designs are for the whole year round to captivate your most important event in falling in love.

Andrada study fashion at Central Saint Martins in London, winner of Ani ng Dangal Visual Art in 2018 by the National Commission of Culture and Arts, International Artist of the Year 2017 at the International Fashion Art Biennale in Seoul, South Korea, plus two major awards in the 3rd Asian Weddings and Art Competition in Hongkong and Miami Fashion Week International Emerging Designer, and was awarded the SmartChoice award for Weaving the future competition by the Fashion Design Council of the Philippines.
Happy is known for her uniqueness, complex detailing, mastery in using fabric and her groundbreaking style, she also design shoes for brides in partnership with Keds shoe brand.

Obra Ni Juan. Theater Review.

Spoliarium, an opera with libretto by Soprano Fides Cuyugan-Asensio and with music by Ryan Cayabyab was the first production I saw pertaining to the life of Juan Luna. Originally staged at the CCP in 2003 starring Robert Seña at the titular role, the opera was staged in Tribeca Performing Arts Center in New York thirteen years later. Philippine Stagers Foundation (PSF) current production of "Obra Ni Juan " was my follow-up. This original Filipino musical entertainment was written by Atty. Princess Laura, Prince Florante, Prince Aladin and Princess Flerida.   Amidst innovations and new techniques in presenting play, the Gantimpala Theater Foundation, Inc stand in delivering the Filipino classic story “Florante At Laura” in a traditional way as they open 38 th Season. They use the Komedya complete with majestic marches and grand batalia for the entire run of Florante and Laura.
