PrideLit, the only and newest imprint publications for LGBTQ in the Philippines

From the house that gives us love story novels via Precious Heart Romances, now comes a new section intended for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexuals, Transsexuals and Queer market, now comes PrideLit as the first Filipino pop literature imprint that aims to champions LGBTQ+ narratives, as a source of entertainment and inspirations.

PrideLit was officialy launch last June 31, 2019 at Roxy Events Place in Quezon City. Publisher Segundo “Jun” Matias, Jr said that PrideLit mission is to teach the value of appreciation and acceptance, and discover one’s sexual awakening convey through powerful stories.

“Halos lahat ng story ng PrideLit are  good stories, great stories, let’s admit ang LGBT market ay hindi kasing dami ng the usual market, but since may experience na ko as publisher sa Graphic Novel sa Black Ink, it’s a genre but there is no labelling like parehong lalake na in-love sa isa’t isa but they don’t it call gay, maraming nagbabasang babae yung market and that surprise me, even etung PrideLiT imprint maraming mga babaeng nagbabasa, it’s not that huge kagaya ng pina-publish ng Precious pages, so as a publisher I’m still hopeful na, it’s a kind of literature na kailangan din basahin dahil yung ginagawa namin magaganda, puno ng damdamin.” Matias explains.
