PCPPI recognizes exceptional employees at Gold Crown Awards

Excellence thrives where it is practiced consistently. Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI)—the exclusive manufacturer of PepsiCo beverages in the country—recently honored three outstanding employees with this year’s Gold Crown Awards. This recognition is awarded to employees for demonstrating professional dedication in line with PCPPI’s ICARE Values, which stands for Integrity and Innovation, Care and Respect, Empowerment and Excellence. The three awardees for this year are (in photo, from left to right) Faith Marie M. Zacal of from PCPPI’s Cagayan De Oro plant, Lucky J. Super energetic comedians top TV5’s hit game shows

TV5’s comedy game shows get extra crazy and super energetic this week with hyper comediennes Candy Pangilinan and Tuesday Vargas in the house. The countdown to Christmas also begins as “Fill in the Bank” and “Bawal na Game Show” continue to give away cash prizes and more surprises.   

On September 14, “Fill in the Bank” will have massage therapists as contenders who will vie for the jackpot money of as much as Php150,000. House husbands will take charge on September 16 when the show starts counting 100 days before Christmas. The players will go through the fun money-saving rounds: Enter your Pin Code, Cheque or X, Coin Rush and Huli Cash.

Not to be missed on September 18 is the electrifying tandem of Candy Pangilinan and Tuesday Vargas who will join “Fill in the Bank” hosts “Manedyer” Jose Manalo and “Madam Poky” Pokwang. Catch them compete in the show’s hilarious games Ayuda Teh! Machine (ATM) and Panghakot na Papremyo Equipment (PPE). “Bawal na Game Show” remains to be on top of its game with the cross-dressing tandem of Wally Bayola and Paolo Ballesteros as the ever-funny Ghorl Twins. Studio players are up for a real challenge that will test their ability to follow rules through “Bawal Ma-Fall,” “Bawal ang Da Moves,” “Bawal ang Sablay,” “Bawal ang Sumuko” and “Bawal na Roleta” with a chance to win as much as Php100,000.  Be a “Bawal Lumabas” home partner by doing the signature “bawal pose” to win cash prizes. Obra Ni Juan. Theater Review.

Spoliarium, an opera with libretto by Soprano Fides Cuyugan-Asensio and with music by Ryan Cayabyab was the first production I saw pertaining to the life of Juan Luna. Originally staged at the CCP in 2003 starring Robert Seña at the titular role, the opera was staged in Tribeca Performing Arts Center in New York thirteen years later. Philippine Stagers Foundation (PSF) current production of "Obra Ni Juan " was my follow-up. This original Filipino musical entertainment was written by Atty. Princess Laura, Prince Florante, Prince Aladin and Princess Flerida.   Amidst innovations and new techniques in presenting play, the Gantimpala Theater Foundation, Inc stand in delivering the Filipino classic story “Florante At Laura” in a traditional way as they open 38 th Season. They use the Komedya complete with majestic marches and grand batalia for the entire run of Florante and Laura.
