PCPPI recognizes exceptional employees at Gold Crown Awards

(PCPPI)—the exclusive manufacturer of PepsiCo beverages in the country—recently honored three outstanding employees with this year’s Gold Crown Awards. This recognition is awarded to employees for demonstrating professional dedication in line with PCPPI’s ICARE Values, which stands for Integrity and Innovation, Care and Respect, Empowerment and Excellence. The three awardees for this year are (in photo, from left to right) Faith Marie M. Zacal of from PCPPI’s Cagayan De Oro plant, Lucky J. Key Tourism Players Join Recently Concluded ITF

IT'S TIME TO TRAVEL. Key tourism players Cebu Pacific Air, NUSTAR Resort and Casino, Fili Hotel, and Robinsons Hotels and Resorts join the 7th edition of the International Travel Fair held on Feb. 18-20, 2022 at Ayala Center Cebu. 

As major sponsors, Cebu Pacific and NUSTAR Resort representatives took the stage with keynote speaker Department of Tourism Central Visayas Director Shalimar Tamano and other event sponsors at the opening of the ITF on Friday, Feb, 18. 

After two years of travel lull, tourism players forge ahead by opening their doors to domestic staycationers through enticing promotional packages as they push for outdoor activities in a bid to adapt themselves to the Covid presence. As the 7th ITF promotes it, It's Time To Travel.

Obra Ni Juan. Theater Review.

Spoliarium, an opera with libretto by Soprano Fides Cuyugan-Asensio and with music by Ryan Cayabyab was the first production I saw pertaining to the life of Juan Luna. Originally staged at the CCP in 2003 starring Robert Seña at the titular role, the opera was staged in Tribeca Performing Arts Center in New York thirteen years later. Philippine Stagers Foundation (PSF) current production of "Obra Ni Juan " was my follow-up. This original Filipino musical entertainment was written by Atty. Vince Tañada, PSF President and Artistic Director and with music by Peter Paul "Pipo" Cifra, president of UST Conservatory of Music Alumni Association Incorporated, marked as my first production I saw from PSF. Princess Laura, Prince Florante, Prince Aladin and Princess Flerida.   Amidst innovations and new techniques in presenting play, the Gantimpala Theater Foundation, Inc stand in delivering the Filipino classic story “Florante At Laura” in a traditional way as they open 38 th Season. They use the Komedya complete with majestic marches and grand batalia for the entire run of Florante and Laura. Theater thespian Roeder Camanag told us that they have preliminary talks and briefing with schools on how the classic way of theater production on stage.
